Our Story

Founded in 2016

Sirius Insight was founded in 2016 by Malcolm Glaister, who established the business following a successful career in the Royal Navy in which he commanded a ship in Counter Terror Operations, and a distinguished subsequent career in technology, operations and business leadership roles at GE and JPMorgan.

We are a company pioneering the seamless integration of maritime data to provide reliable, real-time insights that enhance safety and security at sea.

We have worked extensively with leading researchers at UK universities including King’s College London and the University of Portsmouth, and have received funding from Innovate UK and the European Space Agency.
